A new pickling plant was put into operation in 2007 for one of our longstanding customers, Schoeller Bleckmann Edelstahlrohr GmbH, one of the most important manufacturers of seamless pipes in Europe.
A system of two sliding covers was installed on three 22 m long pickling tanks for mixed acids (hydrofluoric acid, nitric acid, sulphuric acid) in such a way that fumes only have to be extracted on one bath at a time. The fumes are then scrubbed in an absorption scrubber.
