For the Press
Here you will find the most important information on Koerner as well as pictures to download.
The company's headquarters is in Wies, 30 km to the south of Graz.
In 1986, the company's founder Hans Koerner sold the company to a private group of investors. At that time the company was renamed to "Koerner Chemieanlagenbau GmbH". One of the investors took over as director of management, Mr. Franz Wurm.
Koerner plans and builds complete hot dip galvanising plants as well as metal pickling plants for pipe and stainless steel plants.
These plants are exported to more than 50 countries. The share of exports has been constantly higher than 90% of total turnover. The major players in the metal industry are Koerner customers in Austria as well: Voest Alpine Finaltechnik, Schöller-Bleckmann, Böhler and so on.
Koerner technologists have set new standards with the development of the KVK pickling system, a completely encapsulated pickling plant that guarantees very efficient operation with optimum utilisation of the pickling bath temperatures while complying with all environmental regulations. More than 30 hot dip galvanising plants were built worldwide last year with the KVK system from Koerner.
We have approximately 100 employees at the Wies location.
There are 25 employees in project planning, project handling, engineering, and after sales service as well as 75 employees in 2-shift production operations where the key components such as the pickling tanks, fume extraction systems and control systems are built.
